Our Risk division develops comprehensive processes to monitor, assess, and manage the risk of expected and unexpected events that may have an adverse impact on the firm. Risk professionals execute critical day-to-day risk management activities, lead projects and contribute to the ongoing advancement of a robust risk management program. Effective coordination with executive management, business units, control departments and technology is critical for success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the operational risk program for scenario analysis in support of firmwide regulatory capital and stress-testing requirements, including facilitating execution of the program across the 2LoD and 1LoD stakeholders
- Lead strategic enhancements for tail risk assessment and scenario analysis across the operational risk framework
- Provide guidance and advisory to internal stakeholders on matters of operational risk scenario analysis practices and regulatory capital
- Stay apprised of and advising on industry and regulatory best practices with respect to risk management and control frameworks
This role requires an energetic self-starter that can liaise with a wide variety of senior stakeholders across the firm, both regionally and globally. Ability to lead and facilitate programs, including change management initiatives, is necessary for this role.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience working in operational risk or regulatory capital / stress-testing function
- Ability to present with impact and build consensus across senior stakeholder groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivery
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
- Quick learner who can thrive working as part as a cross-regional team and individually
Preferred Qualifications
- Change management experience, including project and/or program management
- Experience developing and deploying risk management frameworks
- Experience developing risk and control programs, specifically within non-financial risk disciplines (e.g., operational risk, compliance)
- Experience in process and framework design
